When are the hearings for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae scheduled?

Why are they out of money?  Is it because they gave money away to political candidates?

Is it right that companies like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae whose profits are guaranteed by the Federal Government are allowed to give campaign donations to candidates for Federal offices?

Will anyone ask the candidates to return the donations to help with the bail out?
