President Obama said the Dollar is strong, but I wonder what he is comparing it against.
Tonight 1 Euro = $1.34 and change or to put it another way $1 only buys .77 Euro. When the Euro was created, it was worth 1 US Dollar. So, over the last decade, the US Dollar has lost about one-third of its value.

Barney Frank, the Congressman who fixed parking tickets for the clients of his live in lover’s male prostitution ring and claimed to know nothing about his roommate’s business, has called Justice Scalia a “homophobe”.
I guess Barney Frank has to do something to distract attention from his role in creating the financial crisis.
A friend of mine is contributing $700 a month to a retirement plan.
The chart below graphs the amount invested and the current value. Note that it costs my friend about $700 a month just to stay even. Notice that problems started when it became clear that Barack Obama was going to win the Democratic nomination. The trend is not good.
