We must act now on healthcare?

President Obama said today that “We must act now on healthcare”, but what is the rush if we are to start paying for it now, but won’t see any of the major benefits of the plan for a few years, other than a few things that could stand on their own and wouldn’t bust the budget.  What is the rush?  Is it that he doesn’t want people to think through what is being proposed?
