President Obama claims to have been on top of the oil spill since Day 1, but he has yet to talk to the BP CEO.  That means he has not asked “What help do you need to get the job done?”  Every good leader asks that question, and then follows through on it.

Why would so many members of the Obama Administration criticize the Arizona immigration law without reading it?

Are they using it as a distraction while they do something they don’t want us to notice?

What has been pushed through the House or Senate while we weren’t looking?

Would you pass oil spill reform and exempt British Petroleum (BP)?

From the news coverage today you would think that the most important news of today is:

1. The death of Michael Jackson.
2. The affair of Gov. Sanford.
3. Congressman Conyers’ wife pleading guilty this morning to conspiring to commit bribery.
4. North Korea threatening war.
5. The regime in Iran slaughtering its citizens.

The real important news story is that the House of Representatives passed a climate control bill 219-212, with eight Republicans voting “Yes” and 44 Democrats voting “No”.

I didn’t learn in science class that we could affect the climate by passing laws.  But then I took most of my classes that talked about weather before the 1977 proclamation of “The Coming Ice Age”.

Hopefully, the Senate will do its job and stop this nonsensical bill from becoming law.

Where are all the people who complained about the government in their bedrooms?

The government is now in their car companies trying to dictate what they can drive.

When I was growing up my family spent our summer vacations camping; first in tent then in pop-up camper.  Our policy was to “Leave the camp site as good or better than you found it.”  We enjoyed God’s creation, but we did not worship it.
