Team Obama (Organizing for America) sent out an E-Mail tonight stating, “Both parties have worked for months crafting a bipartisan Wall Street reform bill. But, just hours ago, Senate Republicans — including Senator George LeMieux — voted for a second time to protect their allies on Wall Street and block reform.”

Of course the “reform” does nothing about the causes of the recession that helped get Obama elected.  It does nothing about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who acted on behalf of Democrat Congressmen, paid their officers (mostly Democrat politicians) millions of dollars, causing the housing bubble and bust.

Why isn’t Team Obama telling us that when they punish Wall Street, the punish pension funds, 401K’s, 403B’s, and IRA’s?

I think it is great that one Democrat sided with the Republicans (and two were nowhere to be found)  preventing movement of this ill conceived bill.

Of course, it was just a coincidence that the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) narrowly voted to press charges against Goldman Sachs as the bill came up for a vote.  Just like it is a coincidence that Obama was on the board of directors of the Joyce Foundation when it funded the Chicago Climate Exchange.  Just like it is a coincidence that Goldman Sachs bought a 10% share of the Chicago Climate Exchange.   Just like it is a coincidence that the Climate Change bill will make the Chicago Climate Exchange and Goldman Sachs a lot of money.

Most people would answer that the USA used nuclear weapons twice: Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Well, the USA used nuclear weapons many times, without exploding them. For instance, we told the Soviet Union that if their tanks invaded West Germany, Moscow would disappear.  That is using nuclear weapons without exploding them.

In many ways it is more effective to use a nuclear weapon by not exploding it than by creating a mushroom cloud.  When you create a mushroom cloud, the enemies fears have been realized and they have nothing more to fear from you, so they will through everything they have at you.  An unexploded nuclear weapon can also be used many times.

Of course, you have to have nuclear weapons in order to be able to use them (either as a deterrent or to punish an enemy).  That is the main reason we need to maintain our nuclear weapons systems.

Why did the fixes to the health care reform law need to include the government take over of all education loans?

Is this more proof that the issue is not health care, but government control?

Sorry, but even Forrest Gump could tell that a promise of an Executive Order does not supersede a law.

The health care bill puts the IRS in charge, not the Department of Health and Human Services.  Doesn’t that scare you?

Yes, I know it is really “Deem and Pass”.  But considering that “Deem and Pass” is just ignoring the Constitution, “Demon Pass” would be just as accurate in describing a process of acting as though a bill passed without voting on it.

“The Healthcare bill: if it was good policy, it would be law already!” - Dana Perino

President Obama said today that “We must act now on healthcare”, but what is the rush if we are to start paying for it now, but won’t see any of the major benefits of the plan for a few years, other than a few things that could stand on their own and wouldn’t bust the budget.  What is the rush?  Is it that he doesn’t want people to think through what is being proposed?

When will President Obama stop blaming President Bush for his problems?

When will President Obama accept responsibility for his policies slowing and delaying hiring and thus the highest unemployment in decades?
